The community of Clau-Clau has a population of 16,500 people. Long long ago, the town was surrounded by monkeys and the sound they made sounded like “Clau-Clau” – hence its name.
This community is faced with many challenges. In addition to poverty and the many struggles that come along with it, one of the major issues is the presence of witch doctors who try to persuade children to get initiated.
That’s why the work we do at the CarePoint is so vital. Here, children are able to find a place to eat nutritious meals, find a safe place to play, to experience the hope of Jesus, to choose His dreams for their lives, and to become the world-changers He made them to be.
