Mealtime has become more than just eating; it is a special moment where children gather, interact, and enjoy fellowship with one another. The love and care shown during food distribution are evident as children share meals together, encourage one another, and learn the value of gratitude and community. It is always heartwarming to see the children enjoying their meals and happily receiving second servings when food is available.

Every day, nutritious food is provided, ensuring that each child receives a warm meal in a caring and welcoming environment. Through these daily meals, children experience not only physical nourishment but also a sense of belonging, love, and care, helping to create a positive and supportive environment at the care point.

We are pleased to see one of our Change Makers demonstrating positive changes in her life. During our sessions, we taught participants about setting goals and working towards achieving them within a specific timeframe.

Temahlanti, a 17-year-old girl, shared how the program has influenced her life. She explained that she has started selling various items to raise money so that she can return to school. Previously, she had a negative attitude towards selling, but through the Change Makers program, she has become more open-minded and motivated. She now understands the importance of setting goals and working hard to achieve them. Her goal is to save enough money for her school fees before schools reopen.

Temahlanti also shared that being part of the Change Makers program has helped rebuild her confidence and self-worth. When she became a mom, she stopped attending the Care Point. However, meeting other young people with similar experiences encouraged her and gave her hope for a second chance. As a result, she returned to the Care Point and became actively involved in the program.

She expressed great excitement and gratitude for being part of the Change Makers initiative, as it has inspired her to work towards a brighter future and pursue her educational goals.

The CarePoint continues to play a significant role in the lives of the children, serving as more than just a place where they receive meals and support—it has become a true home away from home. Here, children from different backgrounds come together as one family, building strong bonds through shared experiences, daily interactions, and the love they receive from one another.

Each day, the children gather to share meals, pray together, laugh, play, and encourage one another. These moments create a sense of belonging and remind them that they are not alone. Many of the children spend a large part of their day at the CarePoint, and over time they have formed relationships that resemble those of brothers and sisters. They celebrate each other's successes, comfort one another during difficult times, and learn the importance of kindness, respect, and teamwork.

Recently, during a homework assistance session, we witnessed a beautiful example of this family spirit in action. The older children willingly took time to help the younger ones with their schoolwork. They patiently explained concepts, guided them through difficult questions, and encouraged them when they struggled. It was inspiring to see how naturally they stepped into mentorship roles, demonstrating responsibility and care for their younger peers.

The younger children greatly benefited from this support, not only academically but also emotionally. Seeing older children invest in their success gave them confidence and motivation to keep learning. At the same time, the older children experienced a sense of pride and accomplishment as they realized they could positively influence someone else's life. Their confidence grew as they discovered their ability to teach, lead, and serve others.

The children are learning that family is not only defined by blood relationships but also by the love, support, and encouragement we give to one another. Through these daily interactions, they are developing meaningful friendships, leadership skills, compassion, and a strong sense of community.

● Once upon a time there was a bright little girl named Senamile who joined our pre school. When first arrived, writing seemed very difficult to her. She didn’t know the letters in her name, and vowels and other letters were still new and unfamiliar. Even holding a pencil was a strange thing to her.

●But She never gave up. Everyday, she comes to school to learn. She listens carefully, practices her writing and she always tries her best. Little by little,She began to recognize letters and learn their sounds. She started to write vowels all by herself.

● As the days went by Senamile ' s confidence grew. The little girl who once struggled to write is now proudly writing her own name without any help. Today she is one of our most improved pre school learners. Her journey reminds me as a coordinator that with patience, practice and a positive attitude, anything is possible. I am so proud of the achievements and look forward to seeing her continue to shine and grow. We thank God for such an incredible growth.
