San Isidro, commonly known as Mendoza, is named after the first settler in the area, San Jose de Mendoza. San Isidro is a heavily populated community with narrow streets full of small businesses. And although there are high rates of crime and corruption, what we see is beautiful.
We see hardworking parents. We see mothers involved and interested in their children’s future. We see people coming to know the love of their Savior, Jesus Christ. We see children with hearts wide open for love, receiving care, provision, and hope for a bright future!
Our prayer for the children of San Isidro is that they would grow up knowing and serving God. We want to see them grow up to become great leaders in their community, in their jobs, and achieve real change that serves as an example for other communities as well!
