Thubelisha is a hot, rocky hillside community of South Africa. Its name means “New Opportunity” – a perfectly fitting name for what we see here! While unemployment, poverty, lack of consistent access to water, and disease are major challenges that the families here face – we are seeing the hope of Jesus at work.

Through the CarePoint, children are able to have their basic needs met, learn about Jesus, and walk in His plans for their lives. The local government has worked to help people out of homelessness by providing homes for them. They have also recently installed a new soccer field for youth to enjoy positive activities! We’ve also been able to install vegetable gardens as a means for sustainable food sourcing and we have dreams for much more! The “new opportunities” for the people of Thubelisha to experience the love and hope of Jesus are everywhere! We can’t wait to see how God uses His children to change their world!
