Zombodze is deeply rooted in the history of the Kingdom of Eswatini. It’s the burial place of kings past and is where King Sobhuza 11 was raised and attended the school founded by Queen Labotsibeni herself. The land here is dry and often experiences long seasons of drought, hindering peoples’ ability to farm and produce crops to support their families. Another common struggle is that of fatherlessness. Many homes are headed by single parents, most being mothers. But beyond these challenges – what we see is hope. We see beautiful! The people here have a strong sense of community and the leaders meet together regularly with the people to encourage them. They even offer various training programs to help empower the residents to be successful. Our pray is that we will be able to come alongside of children and families to cultivate hope. To watch as children come to know their Father in heaven, experiencing His great love for them, pursuing His dreams for their lives, and partnering with His Spirit to change their world!
