"Why We Chose the CarePoint": Mhlengi's Story

Every child’s journey has a story, shaped by unique backgrounds and circumstances. Children come to the CarePoint for many reasons—some for food, others for preschool. Today, we are celebrating Mhlengi S., a five-year-old preschooler at Njojane CarePoint Preschool.

Mhlengi lives in Ben with both his parents and his sister. His father is a renowned community leader, which means they could have enrolled Mhlengi in any preschool in the region. Yet, out of all the schools they could have chosen, they chose us.

To learn more, I asked his mother why they chose to enroll him here. She explained:

“We were quite confused as to where we would send our son for preschool,” she said. “We had some affluent preschools we could have considered, yet CarePoint became our first option.”

Since she registered him quite early, I asked what made us her first choice. She responded, “I heard a lot about this preschool, and I’ve also seen the result from other kids and loved it. Thus, I decided that Mhlengi would attend preschool at the CarePoint for sure.”

Mhlengi, once a quiet boy who found it difficult to socialize, has now made friends at the CarePoint. His mother shared how surprised she was at how easily he began to engage with others, something she never thought would happen so quickly.

This is a testament to the quality materials, resources, and heart that Children’s Cup provides to lay a strong foundation for each child’s education. Mhlengi is now one of the top students in his class, excelling in both writing and speaking with confidence—something his parents once feared would be too difficult for their shy son.

“Mhlengi came here, and I can see the improvement in him." said his mom. "Thank you for shaping our kid's directions the right way," she said. "The love, warmth, and care is quite exceptional from the class till to the feeding. Everything is recommendable and done with a willing heart because I don't believe anyone would be able to carry out on the responsibilities of all these kids, but you guys do."

We are grateful that out of all the schools this family could have chosen, they chose the CarePoint because they saw the results. It is a reminder that the love, care, and quality education provided at the CarePoint truly make a lasting impact on the children we serve.
