Lihle's Special story

One of the CarePoint preschool students, Lihle, had just lost her mother when the school year began. You could see the pain in her eyes. Often, her teacher found her sitting in the corner crying, always quiet and sad.

One day, during school, they were told a story about a monkey who was very say because he lost his uncle.

Lihle’s teacher was able to use this story as a tool to help the kids about open about losing someone they love, and Lihle was among those who spoke up.

The exercise helped her discover that some of her classmates had also lost parents. She opened up a little more and her teacher encouraged them to remember that God is always there to comfort them. In addition to sharing how she misses her mother at times, Lihle shared about all of the beautiful things they did together.

And thanks to you, Friends, the CarePoint has been able to provide Lihle with the counseling she needed after losing her mother. She is growing happier and smiles more and more everyday.
