Roanny

This 12-year-old girl came to CarePoint through her younger cousin. From the start, we noticed she seemed reserved and distant, with a sad expression on her face. She appeared to struggle with connecting to her peers and didn’t seem eager to form friendships.

One day, she arrived at CarePoint particularly upset, and we immediately took the time to support her. In that moment, she opened up about some of her deep emotions. She shared, “Why couldn’t I have a mother like the shepherdess? My mom doesn’t take care of us and gives us away.”

It was a difficult and emotional moment for her, but Pastor Maria, with her gentle and caring approach, was able to offer comfort and support. She spoke with the girl’s aunt to better understand the family’s situation and helped facilitate conversations to ensure the girl’s emotional needs were addressed.

This story is ongoing, and we are still learning more about the family’s situation. We ask that our friends join us in praying for this young girl and for healing in her heart. We are here to walk alongside her as she navigates these challenges, with hope and care guiding the way.
